Flood homeowners need to get the Texas Department of Insurance Certificate of Mold Damage Remediation (CDMR)
Greetings Neigbors,
This a "public service annoucement" for all my neighbors with flood damaged houses.
Anyone in a flood house that doesn't have the Texas Department of Insurance Certificate of Mold Damage Remediation (CDMR) will have a hard time selling your home,
insuring your home or re-financing without it. Only a licensed Mold Assessment Consultant (MAC) can sign the certificate.
Those homes are in a database and all insurance companies and mortgage companies use the database.
We are testing a house this week because the homeowner attempted to sell without a CDMR.
The mortgage company is requiring it so now every room must be tested because they built back without obtaining the certificate PRIOR to build back and it will cost several times
a post remediation clearance done BEFORE covering up! $$$
